April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started the guitar and piano lessons in 7th grade which sparked curiosity. April's first song was Different, which she wrote at 12 years of age. At the age of 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing and honed her musical abilities. Then she began to take trips to write with her father in NY as well as LA. April also added additional themes to the track "Take My Hand" for some of acquaintances who faced issues such as peer pressurization issues, or even teenage suicide. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle influencer as well as working in partnerships with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia she has gained her own fan base. She was born without a left hand and that makes her unique. It's not the only characteristic of her. Lockhart's Instagram account doesn't ignore her handicap. But it also doesn't insist on it. The profile is a statement. The message? That we each contain multitudes, that our identity and physical self aren't as they seem. Lockhart in a video messages from his Nashville home, states that I don't wish for my physical appearance to define myself. I am far more than just my physical self. It doesn't impact my everyday living. I still do all my normal activities and have adapted to the limitations of my disability. She has gone through phases where she felt uncomfortable in wearing certain clothing styles which showed her arms. Now, though she dons whatever she wants and posts pictures of herself in these outfits on social media with pride. What makes self-love so appealing to her is the fact that it's not a place to go. This is, however, common for anyone who has insecurities. People you associate yourself with, who know you, and can see inside your soul are the best people to remind you of what you're worrying about.
