Kristen Noel Kristy Swanson (born Kristen Noel Swanson) is an American actor who became famous in the role of Buffy Summers. Her other roles include: Rebecca Becky Granger, in the television film Nightingales as well as the short-lived NBC Show with similar name, Erica Paget as Early Edition on CBS and Marlowe Viccellio as Psych. The native of California, Swinson was acting from a young age. She began her acting career acting in commercials as an actress. Her first appearance on TV was in the NBCs It's Your Move sitcom that aired in 1984. Her debut was on the large screen two years later in the 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink. Swan is known for her voice that is blonde with a breathless hairlisp as well as a the breathless voice. However in recent times she has started to play the role of a side character. She was awarded the Young Artist Award in 1989 as the best Young Actress in Horror or the Mystery Motion Picture to portray Flowers in the Attic.
